Kakheti is the breadbasket region of Georgia. There are pastures, fodder crops, wheat, orchards, some oil reserves and of course vineyards. Its climate and landscapes are highly similar with south Alp slopes of Italy. Fairly this is the premier Georgia's wine-producing area. About 200 wine varieties are described in this region. Batumi is the second largest city of Georgia and the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. It is situated in a subtropical zone at the foot of the Caucasus on the coast of the Black Sea.
